Alpha Nu Chapter fills pocketbooks for a local shelter
New York
On September 28th, the Alpha Nu Chapter held a meeting where the focus was a project
for a local domestic violence shelter. Chapter members donated gently used pocketbooks and
brought in various toiletry items. At the meeting, members filled the pocketbooks with the new
toiletry items. A total of thirty pocketbooks were able to be filled. The pocketbooks were then
given to the Columbia Greene Domestic Violence Shelter. They also received some extra
pocketbooks and any remaining toiletry items for use in the future. The project was well
received by both Alpha Nu members and the volunteers at the shelter. Alpha Nu sisters donated
so many pocketbooks that another thirty were able to be set aside for the following year to fill!
